My check engine came on this morning. I tried to retreive the codes using the key (off-on three times), but it did not work. All I get is the CEL blinking 10 times.

Can I retrieve codes using Smarty Jr downloader? I don't carry it in the truck so I have to wait until I get home.

Does Smarty Jr. software prevent the key technique from working or is it because my truck model year ('07 model built in late Nov. '06)?

The smarty junior is a full function code reader with plain text read out too.

You may have set an abs code that can not be read in the odometer.
