This may sound silly but will a smarty jr for an '03 work on 5.9's up to '07.4?
Also, it was bought new in October of '08. What programme came with those ones?

 

Yes, a Smatry Jr for the 5.9 will work from 03-07.

When you plug the smarty Jr in it will say which version of software that it has. The latest is 5.10 i believe. It isn't hard to download a new version. If you buy a new one it should have the latest software. It might have the 5.08 software.

 

What's the 5.08? Is that the revo? What is the most recent? I don't need the POD.

 

PoD is standard on the Jr, but you don't have to use it if you dont want to.

5.10 is the most current.

 

5.08 is POD but the revo settings are a bit different to the newer versions. A new download came out on the 11th. AH check her out. I am not sure what changes were made. Which program do you run? I have the 5.10 from last sept in right now.

 

I didn't notice that. It claims improved timing in all models? I know that there have been some issues with 06's in the last few weeks, so it must be in response to that.

I may try it, hopefully the improved timing will reduce the timing rattle I have from 1200-1500 at low load. The rattle is the same in TM2 and TM4.
