Smarty JR on 2004 ?

I quickly loaded 5.08 with POD onto my 2004. I set the Sw to 2 with timing and trq to default. I can definitely feel a difference down low and throughout the mid to high. I would like to know will the Smarty change the boost pressure. I still only see the stock level of 23-24 psi. I know the wastegate is manual and not electronic. Some guys must run a boost fooler as well ?

Can someone tell me what the difference is between 5.08 and 5.09 ?

5.09 is suppose to correct TQ2&4 reversal with 5.08 but didn't but did gain smoother running for most of us. That's it. Boost with be a tad higher but you'll have to push it. I see 4psi high then stock at WOT.

Hmm interesting, i see some guys getting like 30-38 psi with just a smarty. Not that i care but just curious. Mine still is only 1-2 psi higher if that on sw 1,2 or 3. It must have something to do with the way the wastgate is actuated. Mind you i see yours is an 06.

I believe you need an adjustable boost elbow.

I think you are right 055055.9... 03/04 have a manual wastegate that opens at a preset pressure, programming can't change that. The boost elbow is the answer.

Can buy them on ebay. Here's one now....

If you don't want to bid for one just contact the seller and he will sell at around $20. That's how I got mine.
