Smarty ?

I have a SMARTY on a 06 3500 auto. I see a lot of talk about SMARTY beta 4.4. My question is what is it and do you download it from Mads electronics?

Thanks in advance.

the betas are not downloadable. they are sent to us from bob wagner, who is the us smarty rep and resident guru.
the betas4.1, 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4 are beta testing programs for some new changes. 4.4 was supposed to be a towing program, but it ended up making a ton of power. it is smoother on the accel, increases rail pressure slightly, and does lower egt when towing. but its pretty powerful.

The Beta version is not a "Production" version, it's software currently under test.

and its the coolest thing ever. i spools the big turbo i have real quick. and as long as you don't dtick it to the floor and just accelerate aggresivly the smoke down low isn't bad at all. unless you want to then wow!

eric

-- I'm hoping for...
- add diff tq mgmt levels
- modify so level x = level x....not level 1 = 170hp! ....
- remove speed limiter
- add a tad on the bottom...but keep the beautiful mid / upper end
- keep the boost foolng the same as 4.4....mine pretty much stops
at 35psi (or is easy not to go over)....works good for stock turbo
- Makes coffee before 6am

Careful! Even on level 1 of Beta 4.4, I could get my [stock] TC to slip when rolling into WOT at 75 mph. Having a manual tranny will help you a little more, but it's still too much power for stock equipment. I like it.

I did run level 5 for two weeks before the dyno numbers came out for 4.4!!!
Wondered why I was leaving black marks with normal 2nd gear take offs....
