alright so i have had the six gun with the speed loader on my truck for a while and have been looking to get rid of it. I dont have the extra cash to jump up and buy what i want for it, but my friends dad gave me his edge juice with the attitude module. Its the older one from 05. Which one will give me more performace out of my truck? Note that my banks is an older box as well. thanks for your input.

No Banks for me. I've read too many stories of horrible support.

If the J/A is 3000AWAM it will not work on your 03. 03-04 were different from the 04.5-05 modules.

Edge hot is pretty nasty and I would think would run allover that Banks. I cannot tell you first hand though.

I have a 04 not 04.5 so it will work. I believe it's the 3000WAM but I'm going off memory now. BTW Edge changed all their numbers around so it isn't the 3000 WAM anymore.

Matego is correct. The Juice you have will not work on your truck. However, for information on the comparison. On an 04.5 and up truck the Juice with Hot unlock will walk all over the 6gun - and this is from first hand experience.

I have never used a banks six gun, but, from a very recent experience with real numbers the edge "HOT" Juice compared very similar to a custom "scary Larry" PMT. actually the edge had higher torque numbers than the PMT, buthe the PMT had overall higher HP. Also worth mentioning, the edge power was down in the more usable RPM range.

guys thanks for your reply's. in my original posting when i said its from 05 i meant the year it was manufactured. but it did come off an 03 and is for the 03-04 cummins. reason i decided to let ya'll know when it was manufactured was so we would know what power levels it claims compared to newer updated versions therefore allowing ya'll to inform me on the diff gains from the banks to the edge.

today i connected everything and hooked up the attitude monitior, but the menu is stuck. it will not let me change the levels up or down or switch the menu screens all it shows is its blue light, boost, egt's and engine temp boxes. it doesn't show me and numbers such as degrees or psi at all, and yes i do have the thermocouple hooked up and all correctly. i cant get it to change. What should i do about it?

Sounds like a bad box or wiring harness... I had a lot of problems when I sent mine in for an upgrade... it took 3 boxes before they got it right.

In Edge's defense, they worked hard to make it right.

I would call and ask if you can send it in. I had one for a long time, and it was bad... I loved it. I think that the last numbers that I put down with it was around 53X ish HP...

Call them and get a RMA number. I pulled one off my frineds 01 Dmax not too long ago that was out of warranty for 2 years and they still fixed it for free. I also conned them out of the hot unlock code Edge has awesome customer service. I still miss my Edge for its adjustability on the fly and the display. Should have kept it.
