Silver bullet deal

Here's My circumstance. I ran across a friend who wants my htt and is willing to trade me for a brand new silver bullet 66 for $500 and my turbo. I'm adding studs and flux 2's this winter and I think it should be a good set-up.
I've read good things about the silver bullet and hoping to get more advise on this unit. I hate surging and tons of lag. My 64 does a pretty good job right know with keeping things cool@49psi of boost and lag is not bad at all. I need advise Do you think this is a good deal? I would eventually like to be at or around 650ish hp and want to not have to really worry much about egts. Right know I can't get over 1300 on any decent hill here in ohio.
Thanx in advance

I dont have mine installed yet so I cant help you there, but when I last spoke with II they said the new SB have some different internals to help with any surging problems. Other than that all I can tell you is it really looks pretty!!

Do it, I would love to test out an SB right now but I feel I need more fuel before more air.

There are others, Phil comes to mind, who are in the 600 range with silver bullet and are happy. A little laggy on the street, get used to smoke at take off. You won't have egt issues.

My Silver bullet runs a little warm and I am at 668 on Floor its dyno on a dyno jet am hoping for mid 680's maybe 690(will find out in a week or so). My egts down the 1/4 will peg around the 1000 foot, the lag really isn't that bad course mine is an auto with your 6 speed I doubt you'll have any problem with it.

I have been considering a SB too. However, I tow. Some guys at a Dyno meet this past weekend said don't get the SB if you tow...that you will hate it. Trying to decide if a smaller turbo will work for me, or just bite the bullet and get twins. (Was that a pun?..LOL)

I am about to drop some serious coin on a trans....so I really didn't want to go with twins.

if you tow with the silver bullet, you just need too keep the rpms up a little higher...
