II Silver Bullet

Anybody that has experience with this turbo, I am running it on my 05. Im looking to see what combo others are running with this turbo. I am using it on my daily driver. I do alot of around town driving and intend on hittin the 1/4 mile also.
The combo i was considering was the hot juice with the mp8 (cp3, mitusa and possibly a helix cam in future)
seems like a lot of succes has been made with the BD/tst stack
now with all the talk of the smarty that has seemes to outdo the bd stack. (any thoughts)
so through all this confusion, whats the recomendation.

oh yea, the head studs are in the Full billet dtt is done and a scotty 5 intake is in

TST, Smarty, MP-8 is the ticket. You could sunstitute the Hot Juice for the TST on 04.5 and newer trucks and do almost...as good. You would have a nicer gauge package...but you will need a mechanical boost gauge anyways...since you will be making far more than 40 psi.

I vote...TST, Smarty, MP-8. I kinda biased!

cquestad, so you are sayin to run all three?

I kinda thought the smarty would take the place of the mp8, does the smarty do any pressure?

The smarty doesn't add any pressure. So the MP8 can still be used with the Smarty or any other box that has no pressure added. I am getting a Aurora 5000 and I am going to run a Hot Edge and Smarty on my 05.

I run the tst/BD/mp-8 and LOVE it...

All this talk about the SMARTY has got me wondering so Im going to dyno with the SMARTY vs. BD and run the 1/4.

To my knowledge nobody has done a direct comparison of the two. The tst/Crazy Larry stack laid down 659 HP...thats not to shabby

Theres no doubt it did... I've been running 55 psi and doing 25psi boost launchs (with a few 40+ when the turbo lites) for the last 10,000 miles with alot of timing. I have around 100 4wd launches on a stock headgasket. Something is going to give...If it breaks I'll fix it. If it melts down I'll put another engine in it

Like I said I'll give the SMARTY a try. I'll be very pleased if I can reach my goal of 700 on #2 only, and mainly go faster at the track without the additional timing other than what the tst gives...

How much more power is the SMARTY giving you over the tst/mp-8 stack?

Luken, Your awesome, gotta like that twisting metal attitude. I'd be surprised if Smarty couldn't drop your e/t's a little ....the torque management is probably close to Scary Larry. ks

ks, thanks lol. I'll give the smarty a shot and see what it will do. The low end fueling and NO tq man. on the bully dog is just unreal...

genros, I'm not a big fan of melting down engines either. I really don't have the time or money to fix it but you only live once. I feel old now I'm not a teenager anymore
