should i put a muffler on it?
i want my 07ctd to sound alittle deeper. i have a afe intake and straight pipe exhaust with a 5 inch tip and smarty jr. i love how loud it is but it dont sound deep it kind of sounds raspy? if i put a muffler on it would it give it a different sound that iam looking for? and would it kill any power? anyone know of a badass muffler and wouldnt kill power and sounds good?

if its to loud, your to old
if you want it to sound good, get a 5" tb system. if you pull heavy...greater than say 10k# i would do the donaldson route as mentioned above. when i pull my boat its around 6-7k and it sounds good. when i grossed over 42k the drone was terrible

Build a box in the bed and run a stack. You will have original sound, it will be deep, still be loud, no muffler and no drone on the highway. I had MBRP 5" turbo back and had to put a muffler on couldnt take the drone on the highway. Now I have the sound and no drone with the stack.
