Shocks going bad.

What would be some signs if my shocks were going bad? In the last few days I've noticed that when I go over a bump I get this weird sound coming from the front end.

Thanks

Could be your ball joints and not shocks.

It almost fells like when I hit the bump like it's going to jump forward. Fells like a soft ride almost.

If it is the ball joint would I be able to tell by looking at them.

No. Jack the front end off the ground so the tires are about 3-4" up off the ground. Take a 2x4 or something else for a lever and put under the tire and lift up and down a few times paying attention to how much play you get in the ball joints. If it's more than about 1/16" of play, they are worn. If more than 1/8" of Play...well You found your problem.

Fill out your sig so we can all see what you got... it helps others help you.

Those Ranchos should last a pretty long time.

Try the Rancho's as well. I have the RS9000's on my truck and it rides awesome with the 35' BFG Muds and small lift.
