serious edge juice flaw

i read that if your tire size is changed in the stock computer then the juice will not defuel for transmission slip

this is apparently true. i had my speedo recalibrated a while back, on the stock tires, because it was off by 2mph. the juice will defuel for EGT or boost if the thresholds are set low enough, but not for transmission slip. i could roast my TC on level 5 if i wanted to. i have it set up to monitor slip on the attitude monitor, but transmission protection was a major reason i bought the juice. i sent edge an email asking what they are planning to do about it because as of now, this product is not working as advertised for anyone who has had this relatively minor change made to their truck.

I ran into the problem as soon as I installed my original Juice/Attitude. Couldn't figure out why it did not show Locked(Slip %) when I new the TC was locked. Transmission setup would change by itself also. I talked with Edge 2 or 3 times about the issue. I talked on the phone with another Juice/Attitude that was experiencing the same issue. Edge did send me a new unit to see if that worked, but no difference. They finally had a local truck that was experiencing the same issue and finally figured out it was because of the reprogrammed "Pinion Factor" causing their transmission monitoring programming to break. I called a couple of times and asked what they were going to do about the issue and got the response that "we are looking at the problem". All of the other features on the Juice/Attitude were ok. I accepted the problem because I really liked the way the Juice/Attitude delivered power. I have since upgraded the TC/Transmission for racing. I have also switched to TST PMCR primary box from the HOT Juice/Attitude. I never did really follow up with Edge to see if they actually had developed a fix or at least were really working on one. I do know that now they have specific programming for manual trans versus auto trans, so maybe they figured something out. Call them on the phone toll free, and talk to a real engineer.

at least they're honest. still satisfied with the juice/attitude, it couldn't be any easier to install and use. i don't feel like installing any more manual gauges so i'll keep it for a while. once i do a TC and VB i'll be open to other options. seemed all the fast trucks at the last drag strip i went to were running the TST.
