I am very happy with my Scotty and Uni filter. I definitely noticed a difference in spoolup time when I put it on, so I assumed this meant better flow. I pulled the filter housing off last week and wiped down the intake tube and turbo face with a white towel to check for dirt. It came out sparkling white with no oil residue.
You can see some pictures of the Scotty units here http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/air We don't have any pictures on a truck, but we do have one installed on the 2004 here in the shop and it is works very well for air flow and stopping dirt with the 2-stage foam filter.
Bama_boy, whoever you order from, make sure they include ALL of the instructions in the box. The vender I ordered mine from *cough cough* didn't include all the instructions and it made the assembly a bit confusing. I know of others who have had the same problem.
I've had my gripes of little things with the Scotty, but you will love it. No filter is perfect, but the Scotty's comes close to it.
