Anybody have any experience with these??
Saw them at an RV show, all mechanical design with progressive assit to rear leaf springs depending on amount of load, supposely w/o making ride harsh.
Don't know much about them or anyone using them so I bring the question here for those in the know to comment.

Thanks!

I've ran it before when I had my Dakota 4x4. Made a world of difference when towing and bumpy road driving. So I ordered one for my 2500. The problem was the rear spring shackle on my 2wd 2500 goes up instead of hanging down. They don't make a kit for that style yet. When they do, I WILL GET ONE! I was seriously impressed!
They do make the Roadmaster add-on springs for the 2003 and newer 2500 Dodge. See the application guide.
2500 & 3500 RAM PICKUP & DUALIE 2003-08 ---P/N 2460/MK II-XXRF 2460
It will only work on the 3500's if you remove the overloads which I don't recommend.
I bought a fairly cheap kit on Ebay and I'm sorry I did.
1. Since the rear leaf pack on our trucks is fairly flat, this kit is pretty much ineffective. This kit depends on a big arc of the leaf pack to flatten out.
Have a look at all the exaggerated pictures of the leaf spring arc on their web-site.
2. It does does not "hook" around the rear leaf spring like the pictures show since the rear shackle on our trucks is above the leaf pack.
The kit sandwiches the leaf pack at rear near the shackle. This is totally mickey mouse as it is nearly impossible to keep the brackets from sliding.
3. The kit is a pain in a butt to install. You must remove the U-bolts and install a bracket under the U-bolt plate.
You can have my kit really cheap. I now have PacBrake air bags.
Air bags, possibly Supersprings, or Timbrens would be better and cheaper.

That kit they have will not work on mine 'cause my shackles don't hang down, they go up towards the bed. Kinda hard to explain, if you look on the 1500, it has a special note that explains it. The install on my Dakota and a friend's Durango was super easy and the results were remarkable.
I have them on my '05. I didn't notice any difference in the ride empty... Still bumpy as hell. But with a load it was nice. I've had about 2000-2250# in the bed without much squatting. & it handles the corners and slow turns much much better with a load. As for traction bars... It doesn't do much. After all said & done, I feel that I would have been better with a 4 link with bags.
But for the money, it is cheaper than an anti-sway bar with helper springs.
BTW I keep my overload springs in place even though the tech from Active Suspension said it doesn't need them. I just didn't feel safe doing that with everything that I put back there.
