I installed a MBRP muffler a couple of years ago along with a test pipe. I just had to get a smog test on my truck so I put my cat bak on and I noticed how much quieter my truck was but the EGT's definately went up. I am thinking about installing a resonator and killing my kitty again. Has anyone
installed a resonator on their truck and was there a noticeable sound difference??

 

I put a resonator on my straight pipe. I think its just as loud as a straight pipe when you get into it but alittle quieter when cruising. That being said, you will notice a slight difference in sound but not nearly as bad as a cat would make it.
