Removing Software Completely?

Does anyone know how to COMPLETELY remove the Quadzilla Commander software update from a computer.

I'm still working with their tech support to get it sorted out, but I want to completely remove the download and ALL of its possible other files that have to be spread all over Windows for the program to work.

What i'm trying to accomplish is for my computer to think that it has never been downloaded so that it will allow me to load the commanders driver again.

I also will keep everyone updated on this tread too since its all the same issue. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...28#post1439628

Also, does anyone know if the update working with an apple computer? My better half told me, "Why don't you just try doing in on my laptop?". But I told her that I didn't know if it would work on an apple.

Hope this thread still counts as a performance thread....

Ok, first you can just delete the Commander software you downloaded.

Second go into the properties of My Computer. Click ont he hardware tab and then the device manager button. Next go down to the Universal Serial Bus Controllers (USB) list and see if there are any yellow ? marks. IF there is then right click them and uninstall them.

Then go here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

This will make sure you have the .net framework installed.

Then you can re-download the update.

Just make sure when you run the software and then windows ask you to install the drivers that you select "this time only" and you are good to go.

Quad,

I had just come online to send you a PM and I saw your second post. I tired what you said and it still did an "instant" download where it never asked about loading the commander 1.1 driver or any other drivers.

Tech support seems to have the issue narrowed down to the USB in my Commader being still programed with the suppliers software/labeling/naming or what ever it is technically called. Roark said he was going to find out from the software guys how long it would be to make up a update to correct my USB first. Once the usb is corrected, the update program will then "find" the commander because it will be named "Commander V 1.1" instead of the long name that the part manufacturer programed on it.

Roark said he would call me today with the info so now its just a matter of waiting.

Thank you for your help,

Mike
