Can a remote start be put in a diesel? I am having a VIPER alarm put in thursday and I had the option of a remote start and i told them no thanks I can't put it in a diesel. If I can let me know and should the installer know how to do this?

 

I've got one on mine.

On mine, when you hit the remote start,, it hits the ignition, then waits 10 seconds, then hits the starter. This gives your grid heaters time to cycle.

My Python is tied into the "wait to start" light. As soon as the light goes out, it starts. Regardless of how long or short the light is on. Works great.

 

Alot of the systems have jumpers to go either way. My Black Widow has options for "wait to start light" sence, as well as 10 and 20 sec. timer to let things warm up first.

 

i have one, its on an adjustable timer. its set now to 10 secs. in the summer i can adjust it to 4 seconds, but i leave it the way it is.

 

I've got the remote start on my Viper. It's just on a timer, no affiliation to the WTS light...
