should i get ram air on my diesel
iv only had my truck for six months and have so fare gotten 6 inch lift and a chip but what happend was when i got the truck the hood had some hurricane damage so iv got a free hood coming my way and i was wondering if i should go with a ram air system for my truck just wondering if any one else here has that and how it worked out for yall i need to know because i gotta tell the guys at the dealership in the next day or two

Ram air can only help your engine breathe, but I'm not sure how much benefit it'll actually be... the world of intercooled turbo-diesel is not the same as a normally aspirated gasser, where every 10*F drop in inlet air temperature is good for a 1% HP increase.
Cowl induction is more effective than forward-facing scoops, so the intake will benefit from the naturally occuring high-pressure area at the base of the windshield.

well i have to get a mopar part so i can choose between the srt 10 hood with a ram air system for my cummins for an extra two hundred dollers or i can just get the stock hood and get a new intake

yea i guess its worth it for 200 dollers and is should be allot better then the stock system i just hope it looks good o and sorry about the two threads im new here ill try not to do that again
