is there any way to test the rail pressure sensor my edge cts is not reading rail pressure and i have no codes showing up

 

Just a thought but did you update your CTS with the latest software version and did it recognize your truck when you first tried it? You would be getting codes if the rail pressure sensor was defective.

i did the update and it still dosnt read my rail pressure all the other gauges work fine jus the rail pressure dosnt

 

This may sound dumb, but did you go to the Menu screen and touch the "select new PID" and select the R/P PID?

If so does the R/P gauge function just not display the values? If thats the case I would contact Edge Customer support

(On a side note - There are so many ways to configure your screen and I haven't explored all of them yet. I just thought I would mention the obvious because sometimes I often jump into things and overlook the instructions.)

i selected the pid and it jus shows 0.0 on the screen i called them the other day and told me to to the update and if that didnt work take my truck somewhere and have the rail sensor tested and i havent had any luck yet and really dont want to go to a dealiership but i will if i have to ill try to call them again and see what they say

 

talked to edge i finally talked to someone that knew what they were doing he told me that my box was made before they started reading rail pressure and that i would have to send it to them to get reprogrammed so i jus mailed it off

 

Glad to hear that. That's the kind of stuff that always seems to happen to me. I usually find out long after I finally have the major meltdown.
