Quick Smarty Jr question

I recently got a smarty jr and I set it to SW3 and ran it for about a day and then I changed the TM/TQ setting to 2 and 4 respectivly. My question now is if I want to change to SW2 with defaults only, do I need to change the TM/TQ to defaults first before loading SW2 or does changing to SW2 load the defaults automatically. OR do I need to load stock first and then load SW2. I couldn't find the answer in the 100's of smarty posts I've read.

Thanks in advance.

you can go to 2 then go into options and change back to default. you don't need to go back to stock then change to a different sw. you can change sw any time. then go into revo options and change tq etc.

thanks....ok I know this has been asked before but I will ask again....if my tranny is stock, am I risking it's health by running SW3 in town....right now I have it on TM2 and TQ4. I am not heavy on the foot except to change lanes on the expressway the odd time. I really liked how SW3 default default ran but I thought I should dial it back a little bit. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you have will power to stay out of the power you will be OK. But seriously, who can do that??? I would run SW1 until you can do the tranny.

Same here. Mine held SW3 for a while but finally took it's toll and now i run SW1 until I can get a good clutch.

You should try sw3 with the tq on 1 (stock)
tq on 4 will kill your tranny

You need to change the Revo options first and then change the software.. If you adjust the revo options after you change the software they won't take effect on the truck, only the tuner.

So what I did was load SW3 when I first got it....drove it a bit....then hooked smarty up again and adjusted the TM and TQ to 2 and 4. Are you saying that I am still driving on default settings? When I made the adjustments it did a 5 min download.

If it did the 5 min download, by adjusting the options, then connecting to the truck and reloading SW3 you are good. If you just adjusted the options its still how it was when you connected the first time and loaded SW3..

You need to see the programming truck and %age bar to load.. If you just saw savings options it's not loaded.

From the users guide "At the end of the parameters list, Smarty stores, in its internal memory, the new parameters setting that will be used on next truck programming."
