quick bully dog question

one of my friends is letting me try out this tripple dog. no crazy larry. i havent done any performance mods yet other than straight exhaust. have no gauges. i havent put it up past performance mode yet. what precautions do i need to take while trying this out to keep anything from getting too hot or messing anything up.

thanks alot

Performance will not get real hot but be careful not hold you foot in it for a long time. In my 05 I can keep my foot in it without it ever hitting 1100.

alright, so you mean as long as i dont hold it at top speed or at a real high rpm for a long amount of time should be good. what about the extreme setting? have you seen that new bully dog pmt? suppose to come out on the 15th, i believe that is the route i will take. thanks

If you like the BDTD, I'll sell you mine cheap. I'm trying the Smarty for a while. I have crazy larry, but I also still have the regular software.. before all the changes that people have been complaining about...
I ran one on my 6 spd, and didn't worry about anything until I started running CL. Then I started to slip.... like everyone said, unless your pulling or really putting your foot in it, your temps should be manageable.

I run mine on performance all the time. I do not have gauges and am not gonna get gauges. There is no need for them if you are smart and don't do anything stupid.

The gauges are good to monitor now and then, but for what you are asking you can turn it up as long as you dont abuse it for long periods of time.

Just put one on a friends stock '06 and there is no difference between performance/extreme or crazy larry. Without a bigger fuel supply pump he doesn't have enough fuel to use anything above performance.
