Just wondering if anyone has used one of these on the 04.5' cummins ? I am looking into getting a new box because I am tired of messing with the ts performance box that has not worked right even though it has been sent back two or three times now. I was wondering if the quadzilla box smoked much or not and what everyones opinion was of the box and the power it provides ?

I have an '03, but I've had both quad boxes and both the ramifier and mp-8 on my truck. I have to say, I like them all.

On a dyno, the Quad race will outperform the others.

The regular quad box is on par overall with 100hp, but the Ramifier definitely comes on stronger on the bottom.

I like them all, you can't go wrong. Just make sure you use dielectric grease on ALL the connections. Heck, it may even solve your issues with the ramifier. I've noticed with a couple of boxes that the grease really helps.

I'm running the race box on my 04.5 and can't say enough good about it! I've had it on since the beta testing and have had the latest update flash with the tps tap wire done as well, now the power is even smoother thorught the entire power band and the truck purrs like a cougar! I've towed through the rockies with it and have only turned it off on a couple of real hard grades. You won't regret this box, at least I haven't in the past year and a bit!

I have the 05 and no smoke. I have had to send it back to Quad. It lost all power. Quad sent it back fixed in 7 days (I think thats good turn-around), but with no explanation. Mind you I am doing this through a 3rd party SDHQ. At the same time my mechanic told me I needed to replace the sensor on my injector pump. Don't know if the 2 are related events?

I have the race box on my 04.5 and I have tried most of the other products, the xzilliraider is the best in my opinion. I just sent it in for the most recent update and it is even better. It will smoke briefly on the 100 and 130 settings when you nail it.

I also have a 4.5 and have had the race box installed at beta. It's a very friendly box that I plan to keep and not even look at the others.
