Quadzilla race box

I am getting the race box for my truck and was wondering if anyone had any dyno numbers on an otherwise stock truck (straight piped). Also, any other input on the box is appreciated.

Thanks,
Nick

On my 04.5 600 with afe intake and Banks cat back muffler the dyno numbers with the Quad XZillaraider Race box were around:

The truck dyno'd 272 I think completely stock before.

60hp = 328rwhp
100hp = 360rwhp
130hp = 379rwhp

Thanks guys. And quad, thoughts on adding intake and additional fuel for the box? I eventually want intake, turbo, injectors, clutch.

Thanks,
Nick

I dyno'd my 2004.5 (325/600) 2500 6 spd on July 23. The only additions I have are the Quad Race box and Scotty Air Ram III air intake kit. I put up 400.2 HP and 728.8 tq.

TriSum, I have 35" on my truck as well. I'm glad to see that my dyno results were validated by another, similar truck. What was the torque reading ?

Big Blue, I believe the torque was 756. I can check tomorrow. It was very impressive. How is your tranny holding? Is it slipping any?

You'll love the race box. What impresses me more than the power is the mileage. I regularly see 25 plus hand calculated on my 4.5 QC 4X4 with 3.73's whereas before I was lucky to get 18 or 19. Thats at 65-70 mph speeds I might add. People think I'm lying until I show them my overhead which I've had as high as 27.9 (It reads about 1 to 1.5 mpg too high). With just the box, a straight 4 inch exhaust and Proguard 7, I run 9.50's @ 75MPH in the 1/8th. Not bad for an 8000lb truck!

cschultz,

What setting are you running your box on for normal driving? They are some impressive gas numbers. I was looking in to purchasing the 100hp box , but might just go ahead with the race box. Thanks for the info

I have been running the race box about 3 months and 10,000 miles and my mileage is consistantly between 21 and 23.5 mpg. I run it on the 60hp setting most of the time. But I haven't noticed a big change between 60 an 100. If your driving habbits don't change when you put the box on your mileage should improve a little. I will say that my mileage before the box was over 20, but now it seems to do better on the highway due to the extra horses and running easier.
My last tank was overhead 24.7, hand calc was 23.3 mpg. This tank is running at 25.6 overhead, and when I fill up I'm guessing it will be about 1-1.5 lower hand calculated. Mileage is determined by how you drive!!!!! Anyone interested I can post a list of numbers overhead and hand calc since truck was new. I now have 27,000+ on the odo.

TriSum, when I have the Race Box in 130hp mode, 6th gear at a heavy acceleration, my tranny does slip. I never run it in 130hp mode anyways, because I bought the for mileage gains and not horsepower. The box stays on 60hp 99.99999% of the time, except when on a dyno, or when I'm feeling cheeky and pull up next to a PowerStroke.

Oh, this weekend I did a 404 mile trip from DFW to Austin and back. Set cruise control on 67mph and got 20.23 MPG. Filled up before I left and when I got back, at the same station, same pump, and hand calculated out. Overhead was reading 21.5 MPG. I've gotten better numbers with my Quad Standard box than I've gotten from the Quad Race box.

All of heard - standard box is the way to go

I'm getting the tow box this weekend. I have read alot of good reviews on this versus the race box. Plus no need to speed the extra money on a new tranny/upgrades to support the 130hp. Just my thoughts.

I really like the Quadzilla race module...it has performed flawlessly since I got it months ago. On a side note, I took it off the other day because I needed to re-route some wires and left it off while I ran some errands the first thing I noticed was how gutless the truck felt without it maybe cause i'm so used to all that extra power...needless to say I "hurried" home finished my wire re-routing and now have that "feelin" back again .
