I think the BD problems were with older powerpups not the new tripledog.
Any way maybe some one is near you that will let you "test drive" it. You may plunk the money down on something you dont like. A friend of a friend at work runs the quad race box and he is very happy with it.

I really like my 2nd Quad box but with the 6-speed you have to be careful because it is very easy to overrev the engine if you wait too long to shift. It takes a bunch of getting used to. The power is very nice though. I had a Race box on my 03 for a while and liked it a lot as well....

 

HOSS- On my Commander
LEVEL 0 = STOCK
LEVEL 1 =60 HP (What is called tow mode I think, that's what I tow with)
LEVEL 3 =100HP
LEVEL 4 =140 HP ( What I call the WWHHHOOOOWWWEEEE HeHeHe!!Mode
