Quad XZT - Is it a pressure box

Does it raise the pressure? If it does, does this mean that it shortens the life of the CP3?

The pressure increases that I have seen are minimal I mean around 10-15%. No shortened life of the CP3 should be expected at all because the pressures are still below the tolerances of the blow off valve which is what the system can safely run at. Basically the system has it's own failsafe for excessively high pressures, which, you won't get near with the XZT, Standard or Race. Trust me......go ahead and get the race! Once you feel the XZT you'll wanna feel the race!

I agree that the xzt is a safe amount of pressure (Quad knows his stuff and makes a really good product) but I think your thoughts on the relief valve are a little off. I still have a stock RV and have pegged my rail gauge at 27.5k (so who knows how high it really got) and my RV is still fine. However, 27k psi is not a safe amount for a stock truck.

Why wouldn't 27K psi RP be safe for a stock truck?

Lot's of guys have cracked injectors with pressure above 26k. Also, without a lift pump, the cp3 is probably sending all the fuel to the rail to keep pressure up and if that's the case, it isn't using any fuel to cool it.

From everything I've read and the people I've talked to, you'd want a lift pump and injectors to run over 26k.
