quad xzt module for 2006 need advice!!

just put the module on and is great so far.It does seem that the engine temp is a little higher so hopefully that is normal My question is that i am not getting any guages so it would help if i knew what made the egts go up. Fast acceleration, high altitude, i tow 10000 every weekend for about 30 miles also,I have no idea so any help would be greatly appreciated so i can avoid doing any damage. Jeremy @ quad said that with this chip you dont need gauges or worry about high egts. Just want to be sure. Thanks for all the help.

Does your's have the tps tap (just curious)? Thanks

I have had mine about four weeks and it seems water temp. goes up on steep grades(probably did this before and didn't notice just over cautious now), so I have been unplugging mine when towing heavy, as I don't have gauges either.

You NEED gauges as the stock Cummins will still blow the egt's through the roof with a load, let alone a little more juice.

i ran quad standard with out guages for about 2 months. I pulled a 26k enclosed trailer from texas, to pennslyvania, to california, back to texas with no problems, and it was the second day i got the truck

i ran it on the high setting half way to penn, then i talked to my sisters boyfriend(who is a dealer of quadzilla products) and he told me to turn it to the second setting, i out pulled an 05ford with dr performance stgII with just an empty 32 ft flatbed, (its my uncle and he told me to quit runing off and leaving him when we were going through the mounians in wyoming.

I have seen this theme quite a bit, about cummins being high in egt's WITHOUT MODS......seems there would be pistons melting everywhere but I dont read about that happening a lot...What gives?
