I have a Quad race Box and normally run on the 140 setting. It was installed 20K-30K ago. I seems that it has been smoking a little more lately. Is this normal? Does it have anything to do with the lower temps or do I need to run an injector cleaner thru it?

 

I run a fuel additive/ injector cleaner thru mine every other fuel fill up. The amount of carbon buildup we have been seeing from this cheap fuel is unreal. Injectors can use all the help they can get.
As for the smoke any recent changes in the air filter area you may check that out could be a little dirty etc. Lack of air will cause more smoke.

 

from my experience with my truck, there are many factors that affect amount of smoke. Air temperatures, humidity and elevation I think affect the different amounts of smoke I see

 

I changed the air filter a week ago so it is clean. I have never put any injector cleaner in so I will try some.

do you have an egt gauge in that truck and if so pre or post turbo, and what temps are you seeing?
