Have any of ya'll had or heard about anybody having a problem with blowing the injector tips off while running a quad? Reason I ask is a friend of mine was talking to a guy at a diesel shop down the road from where he works and a mechainc told him they have had 5 or 6 trucks come in with this. I don't know what hp the chips were. I haven't heard of this happenin on here to anyone. Jus wonderin if anyone had this. Thanks

I know that they can. I jus hadnt heard of any Quads doin it. I've heard of people doin it while stacking chip not knowin wat they're doin.

 

40k on my quad with stock injectors.

 

37k on my stock sticks, quad the whole time. never a problem.

other than they are completely maxed out for flow. need bigger ones.

 

Main cause of injector failure is use of a pressure box with the combination of bad fuel or poor fuel filtration. Put a GDP with a 2 micron and a FASS and dont worry about it.

 

Well I hadn't heard anything bad out of Quad except that. Which the fact that this shop is against high performance things if they don't come from them doesn't help any. Thanks

 

It is pretty hard to blow injectors tips off or crack them even if you are trying.

Pressure alone will not do it.

Sounds like the dealership is a PITA just putting 2 and 2 together based on your posts.
