I have a Commander and Race box and was thinking of upgrading to X2.

1. Do I always need 2 harness, one for box and one for Commander? Does the upgraded harness cut it down to 1?

2. If I upgrade the race, I send in just the box and get back the new box and a pod? Do I need the pod if I have a Commander? If I don't need the pod is there a price reduction?

3. Will a race pod control an XZT?

1.yes it takes two harnesses...the NEW X2 harness has built in spades for the commander so you don't have to tap the OEM harness.
2.yes...send it in and get the new box back..I don't remember if you will get the control pod?? I think you will but I don't know..I also don't know if you get the new harness when you upgrade or if you use the old harness???

I'm sure one of the guys who has done the upgrade will chime in.....I got mine as a new unit..so I dont know
