Quad Race Box Questions

I am looking to purchase my first box and have some questions.
I know that boxes and downloaders raise fuel pressure, change timing and raise boost pressure. My queston is on the quad box are these pressures elevated all of the time or just when you get on it? Bottom line question is do they significantly reduce the life of the injectors and turbo for someone who generally runs unloaded highway miles?

The only time the pressure comes up is when the pedal is mashed. I have only seen about 26,000 on the Commander. I have seen 36 psi boost and as far as the timing I dont have any timing rattle, so i think it could actually use some more. I will be doing the tone ring mod soon just too see.

Stock fp isnt supposed to go over 25k, I think

Stock boost in the 32 psi range.

I didnt have a rail guage with my quad so I can t comment there but boost would hit 42 psi regularly and 44 under the right conditions

mik, with just the quad on race, intake and exhaust I could peg my pyro at 1500 by about 88-90mph.

I know you didnt ask me, just thought I would share my experience.

Yes mine also I peg the pyro for most of the 1/4 mile!

I run 14.66 @ 92 mph. No boost launch.

1200 for most , 3rd gens can go 1300-1350 safely brief moments 15sec or less can be above that!

It is not uncommon for me to run 1200 pulling my 6 klb trailer without the Quad racebox but i do not make a habit of it!

If this is correct can the readings of 1500 be correct, or are they measured at a diff location?
