Which should I do? Buy a quad boost fooler or download with smarty the stock injector after market turbo? I tow a 10,000# trailer around once a month. Will the smarty be hard on the turbo and will the quad limit the boost to 40psi. Dont know which would be the safest for the truck/turbo. I run my smarty always on level 3 Thanks

 

You can just download a stock injector/aftermarket turbo program, and do the same thing.

I just had this same question and I downloaded the smarty software and I loved it at first but today I got a CEL and an 0243 code about the wastegate controller something. I cleared the code and it comes back. I could easily hit 40psi before and now it will only hit about 25psi. When I first loaded the program I loved it, Faster spool and a lot lower egt's, now it is back to acting like the old software- not much boost and the egt's rise quckly. Any suggestions?

 

The QBF will not regulate boost at all, it will just let the turbo build as much as it can, and wont throw check engine codes. I saw 50+psi on a stock charger with the Smarty/bf... not too good for the little guy.

I dont know what to say about the Smarty working at first, then all of a sudden stop boost fooling. That would be a question for Bob, but you can try to reload the SW.
