Which Programmer

So a general question to all out there. I want to monitor EGTs, boost etc but if I buy an electronic monitor there are only a few choices but if I buy a programmer / more power thingy then I get to choose the user interface and get the guages I want. So which programmer is the best for low end applications for towing only - so keeping the HP setting low(40HPish, 120Tq), minimising black smoke and keeping the smoke to basically stock. We have Edge, Smarty, BD and Diablo from what I see. Also would this mean I have to add some better fuel pump/filters to enhance this. Don't want to shorten the life of my engine. Any help here is appreciated.

Stock pumps and filters with regular maintenance and you will be fine.

RC304 and Country - did you fnd it necessary to install guages (EGT/Boost/fuel press.) as well? What guages did you use. Seems like it is limited to where one can mount them. A pod in the center of the dash would be nice but might be difficult to get the colour match - I have the grey interior.

Personally I would get guages first, programmer or not. Always nice to see what the vitals are doing. And x3 on the Smarty JR. for lower power levels.

The 100hp in my Predator is perfect for towing but I changed turbos. 1225 max egt and it does a little tq. mgnt below about 1500 to save the clutch.

Another vote for the Smarty Jr. I've had mine for about about 8 months. I keep it on the TOW setting (70 hp) I absolutely love it. I tow about 13k lbs with stock 3.73 gears and 35" tires and the truck does great. The factory clutch in front of my NV5600 seems to be holding up great.
