Can Any one tell be what Problem code 0514 really means. I found out that P0514 is ( Batterry temperature Sensor Performance / Rationality) But I'm clueless on what this really is. I've have not noticed any difference in running our performance, I just check codes out of curiosity.

I have had that code twice or so in a year...I think it sometimes just goes off in the winter. Is it cold where you live? It will clear in a couple starts. If it does not...I would then worry about it. We have "overly" sensitive trucks at times.

 

I had it 5 or 6 times this winter. It doesn't hurt performance. Dealer told me there is no fix yet.

 

Wow, I just had my check engine light come on this morning and the code is P0514. I guess I'll ignore for now and see what happens. Thanks for all the info.
