Pro CompTires on sale

4 wheel parts is having their annual buy 3 get one free tire sale. I am think of taking advantage of this sale. I currently have bfg 315s and want to get away from them cause it seems like i still have a little bit of wobble and cant get them to balance out. Is anyone running any of the pro comp tires? if so how are they holding up and would you recomend them? I was planning on picking up some toyo oc at but these prices on the pro comps are pretty low in comparision Thanks guys

The Pro Comp All Terrains hold up fairly well here in Afghanistan.

I had the mud terrains on a couple of trucks and had no issues. Ran like a champ in the snow, really dug down. At 30K that were at like 50% but I would change em every 40K anyway.

I have the mud terrains on my truck right now. I've got about 15K on them right now, the fronts wear a lot faster than the rears. They balanced out VERY well, the worst one took only 4 oz. total. They seem to be a bit on the softer side because they are wearing pretty quickly. I've got a set of 285 BFG all terrains sitting in the garage right now awaiting a new home on some rims. I would go with the all terrain, or better yet the extreme all terrain if you want to take advantage of the deal. A couple people on here have the extreme AT and seem to like them. I like the BFGs because they have the 3 ply sidewall, whereas the procomp MT only has 2. The procomps were plenty stable but I think the BFGs will be better. I think the extrema AT has a 3 ply though. That's my .02 worth.

I love my Pro-Comp X-Terrains I bought them during a special too. Buy 3 get one free. They are wearing VERY slow and were an easy balance.

I researched till I was blue-in-the-face on where to buy them. The ONLY place that did not raise the price per tire during the special was Summit Racing. Their shipping was very reasonable. Maybe $30-$40 (4 tires) to ship to the east coast.

A strong buy.

I've bought several things from 4WheelParts, but they ran me off when it came to tired. Awhile back, they ran the 285x75x16 Pro Comps on sale for $119 each. By the time they added taxes, $15 @ for warranty and a $150 shop charge , they were priced right out of my interest. It came to a total of $722.03 for $476 worth of tires. I guess if you're going to mount and balance them yourself, it's a good deal.

Thumbs up

In March, '04 I bought 3 (get 1 free) Pro Comp X-Terrains LT315/75R16's (fairly BIG tires) from Summit. They were $681.76 to the door.
