I forgot to change my settings before I went out on a road trip. anyone know if its bad to travel with the truck on the xtreme setting? also, I got some of the best mileage ever when I forgot to put it on the "economy" setting. whats up with that?

 

Extreme adds some pressure but it's hard to find out how much. Diablo claims it's safe. I think it's fine to use Ext. all the time (watch the egt) but it's hard to drive in town without some smoke. My driving is inconsistant but I think my mpg is best on Extreme, too. Craig

 

I drive around in Extreme or Extreme RKL all the time. It won't hurt anything except maybe your fuel mileage.....

 

i have been keeping mine on Extreme, i like the way it drives around town, mine only smokes if i make it. I keep my tuner under the back seat in case i need to make a change to tow something

 

Travel or tow ?

Your not suppose to tow on anything other than tow mode.

 

you can tow up to 8000lbs on performance/economy thats what the manual says i pulled a 4000lb trailer 3900 miles on economy i would not do it without egt gauge though
