I am going to be building a new float trailer and while i was hunting around I saw on the dexteraxle site that they have these units so you can have an electric brake control operator hydraulic brakes on the trailer(no more evil drum brakes as discs can be used).

I was wondering if anyone out there had this kind of set up and if so how do you like it and is there a place to get them for a half decent price.

Can't tell you about prices but know two that have installed them and say they are great, much more brake than the electric.

 

I don't have them but have heard many good reports. Look at www.masterbrake.com too. Nice and pricey.

If you're going to try and save a few bucks I've read that not all brake controllers will work with those systems either.
