PPE Standard Xcelerator?

I just got rid of my edge J/A and am now looking for something different. A friend told me to look into a PPE and just so happens i found a PPE Standard Xcelerator used for $350. And I priced a new one at $629.99.... How does it compare to a BDTD? I am not looking for crazy numbers, i just want my truck to run good. And i feel my truck ran like **** with the j/a.. Seemed to cut out around 1700-1800rpms.. And then i won 3 autometer Cobalt gauges off DieselBombers.com so now i am looking at either a BDTD or now this PPE Xcelerator.. I dont pull all the time, but I have been asked to pull a friend pulling truck to pulls this year and TS (5hrs away) and Schied (3hrs away)..

They are a good box I have sold a sereval really smooth downloader and better IMO than a bullydog, but the smarty is the best choice for your 5.9.

Yes the standard programer fine for what you are doing, the Hot will be way to much for what you are doing.

The Hot I have is the same as the standard except for having the extra HOT tune for later upgrades. Would be like having the juice with the HOT unlock code and not unlocking it until you are ready to use it...

I'm still trying to sell the PPE but I'm a honest man!! The Smarty hands down blew the PPE out of the water!!! I really love my Smarty POD so there's no comparison but for the price I'm selling mine for, it's a strong competitor. I would run it second to the Smarty.....

That is a deal, those things are $800-$900 everywhere! I wish it was for 03s too and I would buy it just to try it.

Tcr, it was for the 2003-2005 but it has the HOT upgrade so it only works on the 2004.5-2005 Cummins...
