alright my buddy just traded his 04.5 in for a 08 duramax for some reason and he gave me his bully dog power pup w/ the crazy larry the part number is42568 and it is for 04.5 to 05. What i need to know is can i go on there website and download a update for it to work on my 07 5.9 or do i have to buy a whole new programmer?

 

power pups I believe have to be set back to bullydog to be updated.

 

Good luck getting crazy larry from bullydog! I just bought the pmt and when I went to update it and add crazy larry I recieved a message that crazy larry is no longer available. I called bullydog tech and was told that crazy larry was pulled due to some emission crap. Also if you have crazy larry and you do an update it will wipe it off your programmer. There are some rumors floating around about a new download comparable to crazy larry which may be released in the near future. Wish I would have gone with a smarty!

the power pup has an extreme tune program that rocks approx 130hp tune

extreme tune on the power pup is a really strong program & works excellent

IMO try it before you delete it

I used to run that exact same program with great results

 

Anyone know how much hp the 2.4.1 Crazy Larry adds?

I ran my rruck on extreme for a long time and liked it fine, but then I put on Crazy Lary 2.4D and man, it's w-a-y more fun!
Plus I ran it on the dyno and got 175 HP more than stock (based on a stock 06 auto that was there the same day)

Got it down to 'performance' now until I get more fuel to the CP3.


Wah, you might wanna do some work to your auto and/or converter before trying CL.

 

Yes, you may want to up-grade your tranny / converter before you try it!

 

I agree crazy larry is a stronger tune then the extreme tune

but the extreme tune is better, & way stronger then the performance tune option avail that's included with the crazy larry tune pkg.

I tried to get bully dog to give me crazy larry , with the power pup extreme tune , in place of the performance tune

= crazy larry, extreme, tow instead of crazy larry, performance, tow

been told that crazy larry cannot be downloaded onto a power pup ?
you need a BDTD to get crazy larry on 05-06, 07 ?
