Is there any value in porting the turbine inlet of a turbo for increased spool? I just received my Garrett dual ballbearing stage III...

 

I would match port to gasket.

 

That's what you do for sure. But I'm wondering if the ATS manifold I have and the turbine ports are both the same size...because that's what you'd want to do...

 

Take your gasket put on manifold, use a black
marker to mark. Do the same with turbo.
Remove the black with grinder. You
just want to blend in, you don't need to
grind a lot out. You don't want to grind
the divider out.
