Performax Gauge ?'s

Just saw that Isspro has extended the $100 rebate offer on the Performax gauges through Aug. and I'm looking at ordering some from Diesel Manor.

Does anybody know what the difference is between the #1 and #2 kit for the pyrometers besides one is $10 more? Looking at the 0-1600F color coded pre-turbo.

With a Smarty Jr is the 0-40psi boost gauge adequate or should i get the 0-60psi incase I need a new turbo one day? Boost kit #1 v. Kit #2?

Did the light dimmer curve issue ever get resolved?

If you have them do you still like them? Not really concerned if they match factory gauges exact. Already have a LP fuel gauge so for now I want pyro, boost, rail press and ability to add a real oil press. and tranny temp in the future. Then what only 14 more left , maybe coolant temp + turbo back press + rear diff...?

It's all were the orange and red start. Look at both gauges, although they both read to 1,600 degrees F.... The post turbo gauge shows red @ 1,050 and up... where the pre-turbo shows red @ 1,250 and up.

The # 1 and # 2 is just so you know which reading you are looking at. Like pyro # 1 is pre-turbo and # 2 is post-turbo.

Never had an issue with mine, so far so good and they work great

I understand the color coding is different for the pre and post turb gauges, but on the diesel manor site they have a Pyrometer Kit 0-1600°F Color Coded for Pre-Turbo use Part #: R-68021-KT and a Pyrometer #2 Kit 0-1600°F Color Coded also for Pre-Turbo use Part #: R-68092-KT both with 8ft leadwire and 1/8NPT Thermocouple. I was wondering if the #2 kit had the EV pointers option some people were talking about....

Love mine except the dim issue. Does not work very well. But who cares. The idea is to look like a jet cockpit, right?
