Please help me with IssPro Performax install

The instructions are not real clear as to where some of the sensors are to be mounted. Where is the best place to mount these sensors? Here is my list. Will I need any additional parts?

EGT - Done, mounted it on my ATS exhaust manifold

BOOST - ?

Trans. Temp. - Will be on my Mag-Hytec trans pan when installed

Fuel Pressure - ?

Fuel Rail Pressure - ?

Buy a boost bolt form a vendor here, or from Diesel Manor, Genos, etc. You can get your fuel pressure from the Air Dog, and the Rail pressure fron the CP3.

For RP, theres a sensor near the rear of the rail you use to get a reading...

DONT BUY A BOOST BOLT FOR YOUR PERFORMAX gauges....the electric sender for the boost gauge is to wide and will not fit/clear the valve cover area...you can get the boost bolt and sender in....but you will not be able to plug it in to the harness.
who knows yours may be different??? but there was NO way to get my turbo boost sender mounted with a boost bolt I tried EVERY hole on the intake and none would allow the harness to plug into the sender...

BOOST - mines in my intake horn

Fuel Pressure - I bought a 90* tapped fitting from Vulcan

Fuel Rail Pressure - the performax harness just "piggybacks" off the stock sensor and plug.....

clear as mud?

The boost, fuel pressure, and fuel rail pressure all use a sensor with a NPT fitting. In other words I have to be able to screw the sensor into something. I don't really want to start drilling on any of the fuel stuff. These are the Isspro Performax gauges, no hoses, just wires.

UMMM OK. I'll have to get an intake horn. That will be an easy one to do. Thanks for the info.

Rock,

See if this helps you for the Boost, its where I installed mine and it works great. No need to buy an intake horn just to get a boost install location.

"Location where to install Boost Bolt (Part #: DM-BSTBLT). Remove intake manifold bolt and replace with the Boost Bolt. Torque to no more than 12 ft.lbs. Boost gauge tubing is then connected to Boost Bolt with supplied compression tube fitting (shown) and routed through firewall to boost gauge."

For the Fuel Pressure:
When you do your AirDog install use the setup that Mark(53 ******) did for his fuel pressure. Get one of these, screw it into the CP3 and attach your pressure gauge. Got mine through Vulcan

the perfromax sender and plug will not fit in this location the harness plug hits the metal on the valve cover.......I HAD to drill my stock intake horn with some 1/8"npt...

yes I used the fuel fitting in the post above this for my lift pump psi....

My bad, didn't see the part about the 'performax' gauge.

Is the rail sensor next to the map sensor on the intake? I have a MP-8 plugged into those two sensors. That will not effect either will it?

53,

Any chance of making some sort of adapter to allow you to use the boost bolt?

That would be cheaper than an intake and depending on who you talk to might be easier than removing the stock intake to drill and tap. I know those boost bolts are fragile so hanging a piece of tubing off of the bolt may be too much stress.

IDK...it's real tight right there...you maybe could use a 45* brass fitting..but I really doubt it will fit???

drill and tapping the stock intake horn is a easy 30 min job start to finish..
