Where does the rail pressure gauge get its info from? Does it read through the data link or the sensor?

I've been waiting on these to come out. They seem like a great way to simplify gauges plus reducing a lot of wires under the dash.

I went to the website and looked over everything. I noticed that they only had 3 wires feeding their gauges. A data link, 7V and ground.

So my question, can you dim these gauges along with the trucks gauges? As high tech as these gauges seem to be I'm sure they can be but just want to make sure.

Sorry, for some reason my email notifications were not coming in from this website, and I never made it back to look at this thread again.

The rail pressure is read from the factory RP sensor, just "piggybacking" on the sensor. If you are using a performance module which modifies the RP reading, you just need to make sure the gauge harness is "stacked" closest to the sensor.

Regards,
Michael Pliska

Nice. These are on my short list for sure. Diesel Manor sells them as a special-order item, but the prices seem to be good.

IIRC you need to buy a box to drive whatever gauges you want, so the low gauge prices are a bit misleading. By the time you're done with Boost, EGT, Trans, Fuel pressure, rail pressure and sending unit you're in it for about the same as a set of DiPricols. I can't wait, though, as the wiring should be a snap. Neat and tidy!

Personally I don't care if they're not inexpensive. I loved the Isspros in my '03, and will be buying them again for my '07 (as soon as I can drop a grand on gauges, that is...)

I orderded mine up today. I only got the rail pressure gauge and the controller box for now. I like that exhaust back pressure gauge they have too. Might have to add it to the list soon. Soon my truck will look like XLR8R's truck with 100 gauges everywhere.

How is everybody liking their Performax guages?

FYI, I just discoverd the Performax system is capable of datalogging through a laptop PC.

And there is a $100 rebate going on now.

They look great, but I just put my ISSpro gauges in last September and now there's new ones out. My wife will kill me if I buy them now. I'm waiting for a duel gauge "A" pillar mount with the grab handle to be made then I'll buy the RP and FP gauges.

How well does the green color match at night?

I think the DiPricols are a little on the bluish side.
