because the MP-8 has to turned up passed 50% or more to complete fool. I've asked them about that and was told it should fool at any % but, not the case with mine.

I'm running into the same problem with my smarty. Shouldn't have anything to do with the MP8. I've been told it has to do with a boost sensor problem. Try to switch it with one from another truck and it may not act up again on either truck.

if you're boosting to between 40-44psi or more, a fooler ( MP-8 ) is required. If using the MP-8 as the fooler... it has to be turned up to do it.

The smarty alone should do enough to not throw a code, but at 44psi the ECU will defuel, no code thou.

the Smarty doesn't boost fool and with a fooler, you won't be defueling.

I Have A Smarty Tnt/r And An Ats Boost Fooler. The Smarty Says It Has A Built In Boost Fooler, But It Still Threw The Overboost Code. With The Ats Boost Fooler Also, No Overboost Codes.

yes, if you want to see more than the 40 to 44psi of boost, you will need a fooler whether it be the Quad, MP-8 or another. If you've gotten close to those boost levels, the ECM will throw that code without them.

The Smarty doesn't do anything the ECM can't and fooling past 44psi is one.
