Optix Rail Pressure gauge acting funny

Hey, I just got my optix gauge in and it is acting funny, the first few days I had it. It was saying I would idle around 7500psi and hit 23-26k tops. Now it says I am idling at 12.5k psi and almost burying the needle when I accelerate. And the numbers seem to go up everyday. I know I have a pressure box so my numbers will be higher but this seems a bit much, anyone else had this??

I've had stuff like that happen before on long road trips but as soon as you restart the truck it recalibrates and is fine. Do you have the gauge connections connected to the sensor before the rail pressure box? The rail pressure gauge can only read to about 27.5K psi anyway, and the relief valve is set to blow real close to that also. I think something is wrong with the way you wired the gauge possibly.

Mine was working great. Then I installed Flux 2's and now it's reading a hair low. 6,000psi at idle.

Well I got the gauges installed as a Christmas gift so I don't know how they hooked it up. Anyways I popped the hood this morning and just unplugged everything from the pressure senor behind the upper intake manifold and plugged the rail pressure gauge in, then the box then the stock hook up and everything seems to be functioning fine....I think they just plugged the gauge in to the box. No worries we are make mistakes I just wanted to make sure I was not running around at 30k psi in the rails! Thanks for your help!

MassDiesel in Walpole, they do great work. I think the gauge just needed to be reset really, I am pretty sure everything was plugged in properly. Man it looks like a router underneath my hood with all the wires!

I was exaggerating about the wires looking like a router, all the wires are very organized, there are just a lot of them but still plenty of room. It does not look too congested, I just have a lot more electrical connectors or so it seems compared to my father's 7.3 PSD. MassDiesel has done a great job on everything I done through them, which is my juice, all of my gauges, some transmission work and my fass. I am now totally sure it is my gauge acting up cause it did it again later today and I just unplugged it and plugged it back in and it reset, so I don't think they did anything wrong. Scott, the owner I think, is a very honest fella who will take care of ya.

Spark notes of my mini rant, I would recommend them to anyone.
