One Ton 4 inch Lift Questions

I Saw a 3500 like mine yesterday a with wich look to be a four inch lift on it, WoW i loved it, i was going to do the leveling kit, until i saw thisthis truck.

I have not seen many picks of 3500 dulies on this site with a 4 inch lift and and was wounder if you gay with this life on a DRW would respond with and picks and any like or dislikes with the lift and if you have havd any probles when towing.

Also what kind of price will i be paying for a 4 inch lift.

I need to get some pics of mine up but I have a leveling kit an 34s on my dually. There is guy on here that goes by taylorj, find him and look in his gallery, really sharp dually with 4.5"s and 35s. I havent checked lately but I think the lift will run you around 800 +- 100

What do you need a lift for? I put 35" tires on my dually with only the 2" leveling kit. Picts in the gallery. If you do decide you want a lift, I was quoted $1500 including labor at a local tire shop.

My buddy has a set of the mud grapplers. 37x14.50x17. They are noisy as all get out and he's half way through them in 10-15k miles. They work great in the mud though.

whtractor, you need to check your spelling.

ToyKraz, Nice truck. Are you getting ready to do some mudding this winter there in Ventura? I figure those tires are just incase there are slides again?

Thanks everyone for the compliments.

BigBlue, Yes they are louder than a plane taking off, but that is what the 800W amp is for. To cover up the noise with music or a movie.

Raminspeed, Waiting for the rain and slides to start up here again. Actually I just wanted a beefy tire on this dually. Stock ones look wimpy on a truck this size. I also figured these tires would do OK in the snow. I will know soon enough. Going to Oregon for 3 weeks this Xmas.

Thanks for the input, I did not realize you can run 35’s with a 2 inch lift, that might be the way for me to go,

I would like to know what you fellows with the 4 inch lifts likes and dislikes about your lifts as far as pulling and heavy loads.

With a 4" lift you are only goin to get 2"s in the back, more than likely by way of a lift block. So you are goin to retain your factory springs, unless you use an addaleaf instead of a block. With the block your spring rate may be altered a little (not 100%sure I am sure that someone will help me on this one) but for the most part you are goin to have the same suspention in the back. So the only real downfall I could see for towin is the grade of your trailer. I had a superduty with 2" in the back and 35s before my dodge and with a 16' gooseneck it ran up hill a little more than I would have liked but with a 24'it wasnt as bad. Worse case, get a 2" lift and put it on, if it aint enough get the 4" then your only out 100 bucks and a couple hours of labor, as apposed to gettin the 4" and bein too much and bein out 800 bucks and several hours of labor. Just my 2 cents
