Ok, time for head work, need opinions

Ok, I have my hot juice back,, and wow. But now I am easily getting 55+ psi boost. Now I realize that I can cut that back to safer levels,, but I hate to do that. I am going to do head studs here soon, so while I have the head off, should I get some valve work done? Maybe bigger valves? (How will this affect towing) Should I put in different springs in seeing as I will be putting in a pacbrake this winter too? Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated too

With stock Vsprings...you are already well into the doing damage zone. You need either F1 or similar springs especially with an exhaust brake. The stock springs are good for stock boost levels with a jacobs exhaust brake. Add higher boost levels and you are floating the valves and doing damage.
ATS offers a head job that includes porting with bigger valves, and they port everything they can reach. I'm sure a couple people on here got this done. I was told it would drop the boost levels 10psi in midboost 40 to 60psi and 20psi at high boost levels....110 drops to 90 and same power. I ported and polished my head (40+hours) and it definitely spools the turbo higher and I get less smoke at the same fueling levels. I wouldn't bother with anything called a stage 1 port and polish. To me its one of those things you either do completely or don't attempt. Running without studs above 48psi is borrowing on head gasket time. You can do it but you might run out before you want to. ks

Ok, so valve springs for sure,, is the bigger valves as important or,, should I just do it and get it over with? Fortunately the snow hit hard here, so I dont have to worry about any 50+ psi boost issues for a few months lol.
