will i need head work??

ok see my sig for mods. Im going to have to upgrade my turbo sometime. need to lower my egts. So, a single or twins?? i do believe that i can get away with just a single charger. But my question is will i need head work. I can peg out my 35 psi guage perty quick. I think im pulling 40 maybe? If so, what do i do to the head? fire rings? studs? what will this cost? thanks

You're probably around 450 hp at the rear wheels, max, and you can get away with a single turbo. I wouldn't worry too much about head work, don't get me wrong, it would be nice, but you probably don't need it yet. I can pull 41-42 psi outta my Super B and so far, so good (no blown hg yet). I was pulling the same amount of boost outta my stock hx-35 with the same results. The reason I went w/ a bigger turbo was for egt issuses.

Hows that stock clutch holding up? That would be my next mod. South Bend all the way.

At your power level, I'd just swap in some ARP studs and call it good. No need to take off the head or get into real exensive stuff, just stud it.

There are more than a couple people running just the studs with the stock HG and seeing 60psi PLUS with no HG failures.

~$425 I think...I gave $400 for mine, but they were on sale when I did.

I bought mine from Rip Rook @ www.sourceautomotive.biz

Now all I need is to install them!
