Question OilGuard Problem smell like a Truck Stop?

ever since i changed my oil and installed the Oilguard bypass system my truck seems to smells like a truck stop (diesel and oil) when im at a light or sitting still idling. there is no leaks and ive never smelled this before.

i think its from the oil being dump back into the engine through the oil cap on top of the engine, when i unscrew the cap while the engine is running there is alot of vapor coming out of the hole.

any one have any idea's?

Let me guess...you just changed the oil and used Rotella?...

Actually it is a common problem with using that brand of oil, great stuff but the additives in it stink for a hundred miles or more, until you run it long enough to burn some of them off.

Put a few miles on it and the smell will go away

ive put rotella-t syn 5w40 ever since its first oil change but ive never noticed it this bad.

oh and i put a bottle of the lucas syn oil stabilizer in too, was that a bad idea?

also could it smell stronger because there is more oil in the top of the engine now?

i think i narrowed the smell down to the blowby hose.

anyone think if i got one of these it would cut down on the smell?
