Just curious if the south bend ofe clutch will hold up to drag racing? Was planning on maybe a couple of runs this year but this is my daily driver/ work truck, is this a bad idea? Any thoughts, any body put there ofe clutch through this abuse?

you can drag race it but i wouldn't pop the clutch or slip it. i would release the skinny pedal all the way everytime you shift. other than that i will hold up to alot of abuse. just got mine installed to day but i have been researching it for some time now. Good luck and have fun.

Got about 30 passes on my ofe with no problems. As long as you don't go for a 3rd gear launch you'll be ok.I always leave the line in 2nd and 4 hi.Rev to about 2500rpm and dump it.Still holding strong.

Depends how much power you're pushing and your daily driving habits. they are not intended for drags, but they are known to hold up. Try it out; if you have bad jives don't do it.

Thanks guys I will see how it goes was kind of expecting more negative reviews glad to hear it can be done. Homewrecker 30 passes that's great didn't think it could handle that kind of abuse plus your running quite a bit stronger than I would be.

I am really impressed with this clutch.Never thought it would still be holding but it is.I am going to a DD3600 soon so I will have enough to hold the twins.I'm gonna miss the stock pedal pressure.

Just keep the funny business to a minimum and you should be good.

Dont back into the burn-out box and do a 3rd gear spin out. I know a lot of guys here dont burn out but I find its a good intimidation maneuver with all the smoke rolling out of the stacks and off the tires. I have scared more guys into a redlight (or so I think) and its the easiest way to win.

I usually have a faster ET than other trucks I am against so they leave first. I guess they think I am a good drag racer since I have all this stuff done to my truck but I really suck. Its hard to run consistent with a diesel stick.

Sorry to go off track there but take it easy on the slipping of the clutch and you will be fine. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

Matego is right, consistency is extremely difficult when your adrenaline is pumping! It becomes an art!
