Nitto Terra Grapplers
Nitto Terra Grapplers
Well my 5 Terra Grapplers are here for my 06 2500.... they look huge standing by front door when I got home. Hard to believe they are just a hair over one size larger than stock...but definately wider, taller, more aggressive.
Will take pics before and after and give impressions....
BTW, DiscountTiresDirect.com still has free shipping...got mine for $875 for 5 tires to my door. Best I could do locally for Nitto or BFG was over $1000 for 5.

Yea you gotta post some pics of those when you get them on. I was thinking of the same tire, the 295's seem like they would be perfect, better performance that a 315 and look better than a 285 but maybe I'm wrong.
I was curious what everyones opinions were on the grappler.I have always ran bfg at. I recently put new wheels on my truck and nitto was the only manufacturer that made the size i wanted.I now have 305/55/20 on a 20x10 moto metal wheels.
Well the new rubbers are on the truck with a spare hanging underneath as well. So far on the road I love them...
It will clear up tomorrow and Saturday so will take another set of pictures of truck with the Nitto Terra Grapplers. Also going to my fathers so will let you know if I can negotiate his farm after three days of rain without getting stuck or if he had to pull out the John Deere to help me down the dirt roads.
With the Michelin LTX AS....i would spin in the yard and on the dirt roads when it rained just going normal in 4wd.
They definately fill fender better without needing a lift....with a little exposed outside of fender so looks like the Bushwhacker fender flares are next. Anybody want to trade a full set of BW Exended Flares for an 06 SWB for my Michelin tires....LOL

Well I added two pics of the truck with the new tires in my gallery....was going to link them here but they are PENDING APPROVAL
There is one in my driveway with the OEM Michelins.....265x70x17 and then two new ones on same side of truck with the 295x70x17 Nittos....
So far...yes they are a bit larger than stock...ride is very smooth but took technician a bit to zero them out on balancer or get them very very close. Have not noticed barely a hint of more road noise but I keep the radio jamming pretty loud plus the Cummins makes a little noise...LOL
Going out to dads farm this weekend to help him move tree stands and pull the tractor to the sheds on his trailer. Will give more info then....
All I got to do is figure out the revolutions per mile for them....to update my ECM.

Think those will be my next tires also. I am running the 285 BFG AT right now. I have got 30K on them and they are holding up well. I am expecting to get 45K out of them. I am ready for a change, nitto's might be next.
Looks good. DO NOT get BW flares unless you want the paint rubbed off underneath them. I have a set of BW pocket style flares laying on the floor in the garage. I just have not got around to throwing them away. IMO, they are just expensive trash. I'd get the Xenon's.

What do you want for them?
