Nitrous and stock turbo???

Can the stock turbo take a small shot of nitrous? I see 40psi with my current tune, but I have some smoke that I want to clean up. Plus I have everything needed to put the kit on my truck laying around the shop.

Can the stock turbo take the drive pressure from BDTD on extreme and a small shot?

Yes and no. You need to worry about drive pressures, if the BD has a option to turn the wastegate back on, that would be your best bet. That still might not be enough.

I know a guy that sprayed an open bottle down his intake on a dyno one time, he never had any problems. He was a retard for doing it, but it made a cool vid.

I don't know that the BD turns off the waste gate... I use a boost fooler to reach the 40 psi mark. Anybody know for sure?

If you are seeing 40 psi out of a stock turbo you dont need nitrous you need a different turbo. That little stocker is just pushing hot air into the motor.

That is kind of what I figured... But not what I wanted to hear. A new turbo sure would be a good excuse to pull the trigger on some fuel mods though!!!

Do them together.

40 psi is just pushing hot air into the motor, but the spray will cool it down. Still a lot of boost for a stocker. Any more, you're gonna need some head studs.

How much will the stock cp3 limit me if I decided to change injectors, turbo, and studs? Can I get by with 75 horse injectors on the stock cp3?

I thought I had a shorter version of the first one, but... no.

Me talking after John P at the last dyno day... not my truck...

You can upgrade the CP3 pretty cheaply with a DIY from wicked diesel or II, I have the Arson 2 kit, and I have not problems with RP.
