Nitrous Question, and Mp8

Hey guys I'm thinking of putting the bottle on my truck. It would be used from a guy with a 2 gen dodge cummins. My question is do i have to change the timing while spraying? About how much more boost would I see spraying a small shot?

I'm also thinking about ordering the mp8 tomorrow, does it add pretty good power when stacked with smarty tnt. I have read that they stack well but it is good worth 400 dollars? Just looking for opinions here...would the mp8 really benefit me? Thanks for any replies

do you still have the TST? if you do and have rail pressure adjustment it would be a waste if you don't then it would be a good thing to have.

With Nitrous start small and work your way up. It is pretty hard to hurt a diesel with it. Think of it as turbo in a bottle. As you work your way up in jet size you go until you hear it start to "pop" or "shoot ducks" then back it down a jet size. It wouldn't be a bad idea to pull a little bit of timing out of it. You don't have to, it will just run a bit better.

The MP8 works well in a stack. I wouldn't rely on it as your only module. The extra fuel will help you to run more nitrous.

I'd like around 100hp...not very sure what the safe limit would be for my setup

Thanks for the info on the nitrous..as far as the mp8, I heard it helps turbo spool and helps on the bottom end which is exactly what im after. Thanks for the replies

You can run a 100 shot with no problems at all. You could probably run a 150 shot with the MP8.

If you are going to run the 150shot or bigger then definately, on the common rail you can usually get away with the smaller jet depending on how much timing you are running. Good point though....

It helped quiete a bit on the 06 in my sig!

put in dual cp3s and saw between 20000 and 22000 on WOT on the rp gauge, after the mp8 at 50% i see no less then 26500 all through the quarter mile. you can feel the truck pulling harder and smoke more as you turn it up, that on a 11 sec truck. its worth every cent of the $350 we payed on ebay
